Memories of Kibbles
This short interactive fiction game was created for Games for Blind Gamers 3.
Play as a cat exploring the wreckage of her old home, her new kitten following close behind and ready to cause some mischief! Tap into your memories, see what remains of your home, and make sure your little one doesn't stray too far...
This game was developed using the Sugarcube story format in Twine and has been tested using the NVDA screen reader. The game features sound effects from the second passage onwards.
The soundscapes in each room are a maximum of one minute long - it's not essential to listen until the end of each one to progress.
How to Play
At the end of each passage, you'll be asked 'What do you want to do next?' and given 1 - 3 choices. Navigate the choice links using Tab and hit Enter to choose one.
Hint: Going round in circles? Be sure to call out to your kitten in each room to progress.
Content warning: This game touches on themes of war and death, and one passage contains sound effects meant to represent war.
